Lars Larson joins 3SI as an experienced data engineer with an eclectic educational background. His core strengths circle around a fundamental grasp of data modeling techniques, ETL processing, and an understanding of data visualization techniques. He is a life-long, passionate student of programming languages and techniques. He is a natural problem solver who has spent over 20 years in a variety of technical roles ranging from application developer, DBA, and data analyst as well as being an effective communicator, technical writer, and classroom trainer.

Before joining 3SI Lars spent several years working for startups within the realm of data analytics and as a data consultant at Microsoft, performing needs assessments, diving deep into data, and creating custom visualization solutions and tools.

In earlier life, Lars spent several years traipsing around Europe learning languages, sketching buildings, and reading books. These days he spends much of his time running on trails in the local mountains when he isn’t cooking for/with two sons (and two dogs) at his house in downtown Snohomish, WA.

Lars holds undergraduate degrees in Humanities and Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MA in Art History from Syracuse University.
